Grammy Nominees

It’s here. It’s here. The list of nominees in all categories of the 59 th Grammy Awards has been released after months of speculation. The live broadcast of the award ceremony will take place at Staples Center in Los Angeles on February 7, th 2017. James Corden will host the show for the first time.

These are the nominees in the three most important categories of the Grammy Awards.

Record of the Year

Beyonce was nominated in nine categories, making her the top nominee. Adele makes it even more difficult for Beyonce to win. Beyonce must compete with Adele in the three most important categories Record, Album, and Song of The Year.

1. Guess which song was nominated for the Best Rap award? Drake’s Hotline Bling. Yes, that song was highly criticized and trolled on the Internet.

2. Two soundtracks from the TV series Stranger Things were nominated for Best Soundtrack for Visual Media in the same category.

3. Beyonce’s Lemonade was a blend of many genres. Still, the Grammys recognized it as rock music and nominated the song Don’t Hurt Yourself from their album for the Best Rock Performance category.

4. Anti, Rihanna’s album, was nominated for Best Urban Contemporary Recording AlbumAND Best Recording Package. Although the Internet critics quickly called it a mistake, I found the album to be very enjoyable.

5. Chance the Rapper’s album Coloring Book has received seven nominations. It was the first streaming-exclusive album that reached the top 10 on the Billboard 200 album charts. Grammys now accepts stream-only albums for its 59th award.
